What happens once I add new members to my group?
After creating your group, use the “+” icon in the upper right side to add new members to the group.
If you choose to "Notify new members by email that they've been added to this group," you will be brought to an announcement so you can email them letting them know they were added to the group.
Members with an email
Once added to the group, members will begin to receive email notifications about all activity in the group, including new announcements you create and a daily digest of all comments made in the group.
By clicking on the options in an email, the members can respond to action items and will be taken to the group to enter any additional information needed.
Members added by phone
Once added to the group, members will begin to receive text notifications about new announcements you create (which they will be able to view by following the link). Text members can then reply privately to you by texting back or publicly to the group by replying within the link. Subsequent replies from the admin will be returned as regular text messages.
Clicking the link will bring the member to the announcement in their web browser, allowing them to view the full message and respond to the action items and post comments, as well, without having to log in.
If a member with a text account tries to reply via text to a message, they may receive a reply text asking their name. Once they respond, Unison.io will use that response as their name and post the comment.
It’s as easy as that! The new members will then be able to continue to respond to the group via email or text message, or have the option of logging in to the group directly via Unison.io with their email address or phone number.
