What is a group?

A group is a centralized place where people joined by a common purpose come together to communicate and stay on the same page. The heart of a group is a board, where the main action takes place. 

All communication on the board is sent out to members in the form of an email or text message, and people can respond by replying to the message or logging into their group to post directly on the board. Communication on the board is more structured than an email and allows for searchability of the posts and more complex attachments. 

Each group also includes administrator functions where members are managed, group settings such as location and group name can be managed, and an optional registration page or text-to-join keyword for the group can be created (only available for groups within paid organizations) via which new members can enroll to join a group.
